Broadband Terahertz Half-Wave Plate With Multi-Layered Metamaterials Designed via Quantum Engineering

In this paper, we propose the novel design of terahertz half-wave plate (HWP) by using multi-layered metamaterials with some specific rotation angles, which can be given composite pulse control (a well-known quantum technique). Comparing to previous design, a big advantage method analytically calculate angles and easily extended design. present performance four configurations matamaterial-based HWP 1, 3, 5, 7 layers demonstrate that our device broaden bandwidth increasing layer number via control.
